Love Nest (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

WINNER of the Love Nest card is Jen, thanks for the comment.

Today’s card will be a raffle to have the card mailed to you.  If you reside in the United States and leave a comment on the Love Nest card I will randomly pick a name and post the winner on my blog Saturday, June 30.  Many thanks to everyone who takes the time to look at my projects.

Good  morning everyone! My project today was made using a variety of tan colored cardstock. When I picked the color combination I thought the card could be used for any occasion.  Of course it gave me the opportunity to use the the Elizabeth Craft Designs - Dee's Distintively Chickadee die. I thought the birds combined with the heart shaped nest would be a fun design.

I die cut the Spellbinders Scallop Heart and also a smaller Spellbinder standard Heart which I embossed then glued it to the larger heart. I added a die cut Cheery Lynn Designs - Florish spray under the heart at the top and bottom.  I added the Martha Stewart Fern Leaf punch in a pattern around the smaller heart just for fun.

I die cut the Dee's Distinctively - Chickadee several times each with a contrasting color and then assembled them together.  Because you get so many great pieces in a variety of colors it gives you lots to choices on how you want the birds to look.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog. I appreciate all of your sincere and heartfelt comments.

Memory Box Prim Poppy Bouquet

Today I made a really simple card using the Memory Box Prim Poppy die as the focal point. I double layered the poppies and used Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer to make them pop.  Once the poppies were dry I used the Martha Stewart branch punch for leaves.  The card background was created using the Cutttlebug Kassie Brocade embossing folder. To finish I die cut a birthday sentiment using the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two.

Framed Birdcage (Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Square)

I have a framed birdcage project to share with you today. I embossed the background of the card with a Cuttlebug Polka Dots folder. Next I die cut a frame using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Fleur De Lis Squares and Classic Squares and mounted the frame with a double layer of mounting tape.  That way it really stands up as the focal point for the card.  I used the Memory Box Vintage Bird Cage and Nestled bird and mounted them to the corner of the frame.  Next I die cut a Memory Box Meridian Border twice and attach to the bottom portion of card. For the flowers I used Spellbinders Shapeabilities Layered Poinsettia and a little glitter.
