Chicks In The Grass

Hello Crafting friends and visitor’s, I hope you are all well and having better weather where you live.  Thank you all for you lovely comments on my last post, as you can see I am making Easter cards out ahead.

For my card project today I double punched the grass, added a little mounting tape behind the clouds and tree for some dimension.  I used half of the cracked egg punch piece and trimmed the chicks heads off and attached them to the eggs.  Then just added the tools, flower pots, a little foliage and flowers.

Materials:
Martha Stewart, Cherish Punch Around The Page,  Chick, grass and cracked egg punch

Easter Train

Greetings everyone and thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments on my last card.  Also, a big thanks to all of you who have joined my blog it really is so nice.

My whimsical card today uses the Classic Egg which I found to be just the right size and shape for the little carts.   I used a circle punch to cut out the dip in the first cart and then added wheels and some left over pieces from the Valencia Border for the tail. For the rest of the carts I trimmed off part of the egg shape and filled the carts with the cracked eggs, nestled bird, blooming violet and petite cake.

Materials:
Memory Box Tender leaf (bird wing , Classic Egg (might be discontinued), Blooming Violet, Valencia Border (cart tail) & Petite Cake
Poppy Stamps Fuzzy Bunnies & Nestled Bird
Martha Stewart Grass, cracked egg & Doily Lace punch Pink Top border)
EK Success Paper Shaper 1/2" circle punch (Black wheel)
Fiskars 1/4" hand punch (white circle for wheel)
Crimper (for grass)

Will You Be My Valentine

Hope everyone is fine and your weather is not too bad.  Today I had four large female deer in my yard and they like to stand under the bird feeder and lick the seed out of it.  I guess they are wishing for spring like I am.

Sorry the picture does not really show how pretty the glossy red heart is  but we are having a bit of fog and clouds so my picture taking is not the best.  If you have not used the Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer  is really makes a beautiful glossy finish when dry.

PS. If you use the Crystal Lacquer get a piece of wax paper to put your die cut on and use your finger to coat the entire surface.

Materials:
Poppy Stamps Nestled Bird, Small Blooming Poinsettia & Climbing Vine
Memory Box Tender leaf (wing)
Spellbinders Classic Heart
Sakura 3D Crystal lacquer

Love Birds

Good Morning Everyone

First off let me say I am sorry about the picture it really does not show how pretty the glitter on the leaves are but when you live in an area with no sun for months you just have to do your best. Seeing the sun at this time of the year is like winning the lottery about  2 million to 1.

I die cut the tree twice and cut off the leaves and glued them to the brown die cut tree. Then coated them with Sakura 3D lacquer and my favorite Art Glitter.  I used the classic heart (3¼ x 3⅜″)  on the bench and then added the small heart in red glitter card stock.  For the birds I die cut twice and trimmed the white and attached it to each bird. Then added the small tender leaf as a wing which was die cut out of white glitter cardstock.

Materials:
Martha Stewart Cherish Punch
Spellbinders Classic Heart
Poppy Stamps Madison Bench & Nestled Bird
Memory Box Grand Oak Tree & Tender Leaves (bird wings)
Fiskars 1/4" circle hand punch (center of flowers)
Fiskars 3/4" Burst punch
Art Glitter Crystal  Transparent Ultrafine
Sakura 3D Lacquer
Red & white glitter cardstock

Delivering Valentine Wishes

Click on picture for better image.

Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you to everyone that left a comment on the precious card.  I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by.  I love to hear what you think and if in some small way I have given you a new idea of how to use a die or inspired you to try something different.

Wouldn't it be fun to have this dapper gentleman flying in to bring you a Valentine greeting.   After I die cut the Gentlemen I coated the entire piece with the Sakura 3d  Crystal lacquer.  It really gives a nice shine when dry.   I die cut the Cupid and trimmed off the bow part which I added to his arm and some fun hearts and the Cheery Lynn corner pieces.

PS. You can also reposition the legs and arms to give it a different look.  I tend to use parts of  dies to create something new that way you get more use out of them.

Materials:
Martha Stewart Double Hearts Punch Around the Page
Memory Box Gentlemen Leaping (retired die)
Wing Punch
Savvy Stamps Cupid
Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco F

Love Is In The Air

Good Morning everyone:

For today's card I wanted to create a Poodle but not having a die cut shaped like that I took the Labrador die cut and improvised.  Really all you need to do is trim between the legs, add some circles, a leaf die for the ears a strip for the collar and finish with a fun Rhinestone.

I hope I have inspired all of you very crafty people to look at dies differently and maybe get more use out of them.

PS. the little beret hat is actually the top of a Martha Stewart pumpkin punch.

Materials:
Poppystamps Labrador
Memory Box Tender Leaves (ears)
Fiskars 1/4" & 1" circle punch
Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Punch
Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Hearts (2⅝ x 2¾″)

Galloping Greetings Poppy Stamps Design Team

Greeting Fellow Crafters

Happy New Year and let me tell you I am so excited to start using the new and totally fabulous Poppy Stamps dies and Memory Box stencils.

My post today features the fun Trotting Pony and who wouldn't want these beauties galloping in to wish someone a birthday greetings.  I added the new Happy Birthday Background die and cut the Petit Four Border for the corners.

P.S. To create the tails die cut a second set of tails and use your scissors to cut strips so the tail flares them glue on and for mane take the Tender leaf die and cut in half then cut strips and attach behind horse.   I just thought it added a little more dimension to the fun horses.
