I'm Cuckoo For You Valentine (Vintage Style)

Today's offering is a fun vintage style Valentine design that was pretty easy to create.

Thank you for visiting my blog and a big thanks for those who take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower.  I always try to hop over to those that have blogs to return the favor.

I started by die cutting the Brick House with brown card stock, adding a red roof trim, two maple leaves, a blue bird and the fun heart lock & key.  The clock face is just and image I downloaded off the web. To create the scalloped design under the clock I used the EK Success Real Estate punch.  For the weights I took the Acorn  die and cut the piece in half and then just shaped two acorn designs and added some Viva Decor gold to them.  To create the hearts I used the two smallest pieces from each set and die cut with glitter card stock then layered them.  For the Fancy Tag I ran red card stock through the printer to create the text and then die cut.

Materials
Impressive Obsessive Brick House & Small Leaf Set
Memory Box Gold Finch, Nutty Acorn( discontinued)  & Holiday Bells
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Fancy Tags Two
Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Heart & Classic Heart (Use the two smallest from each set)
Viva Decor Gold Paper Pen
Martha Stewart Heart Lock & Key punch

Christmas Beaded Ornament

Beaded Ornament Supplies
Original idea came from designs by  Susan Teare
Best of the Holidays to everyone.

This is actually a very relaxing way to past the time, I just pored all the beads into a bowl, then plugged in the glue gun to heat it up. Turned on my favorite television show  and started stringing the beads.  I started with a dressmaker pin, a gold seed bead, a large 8mm cream bead, then either a pink or cream 6 mm bead.  Place a small amount of glue on the end of the pin to hold them in place and stick into Styrofoam ball at the top.  Next I used a gold seed bead, then either a pink or cream 8mm bead and and 6 mm bead.  Don't use more than 3 beads on the dressmaker pin because they will not stay in the Styrofoam.

Just continue around the ball until completely filled in.  At the top I attached a chenille gold piece with my glue gun so I could hang it up when complete, you could use a nice ribbon also. Once done you can use a dressmaker pin and the smaller beads (five or so on the pin) and fill in any area that show the Styrofoam ball.

You could use any colors and sizes I am planning on trying different size balls and colors next.

Holiday Window

Thank you for visiting my blog and big thanks for those who take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower.  I always try to hop over to those that have blogs to return the favor.

Today's offering was created from left over die cut pieces I had but could not figure out what to do with them.  I sometimes start different designs and then find they just are not working and throw them out.  I thought is would be fun to try to use the Holly Holiday Frame which I am sure I have never used before.

Memory Box - Holly Holiday Frame Set & Frosted Christmas
Poppy Stamps - Small Madison Arched Window
Cheery Lynn Designs Lace Corner Deco F
Viva Decor Paper Pens (tree decoration)
Spellbinders Wood Grain embossing folder

Holiday Cheer

Last year I made this design in all white but I thought it would be fun to update it and add just a little color.  The Grand Oak Tree is die cut in glitter card stock even though the picture may not show it very well.  I added gold bells to the Deer's antlers, a heart shaped saddle and some leftover silver circles for jingle bells around its neck and saddle.

Sadly my picture taking is really terrible.

Thank you for visiting my blog and big thanks for those who take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower.  I always try to hop over to those that have blogs to return the favor.

Ice Skating

Happy Holidays everyone, thanks for stopping by.  I can always find so many ways to use the Lady Dancing die. My  Pinterest page.

I re-positioned her arm so she could hold the large snowflake and coated the blue oval with Sakura 3D lacquer to give the pond some shine.  I die cut her outfit twice once in red and then the trim in green glitter card stock.  For the trees I used Sakura 3D lacquer and then coated them with Clear Rock Candy. The skates blades at just some pieces left over, I have not found a small ice skating die as yet.

Materials:
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Classic Ovals Large
Impression Obsession- Fir Trees
Memory Box - Lady Dancing(retired) & Holiday Hats
Dee Distinctively - chickadee (used tail piece for brown hair)
Martha Stewart Snowflake punch
Sakura 3D lacquer
Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy (trees)
Fiskers Deckle scissors (snowbank)
Paperwhites Week 4

Sprouted Paperwhites
Here is something interesting, I put these 6 bulbs in water for a week and they started growing roots. I then planted them in soil. They are already bigger than the original pot.

Down The Chimney

Hello to my newest followers and everyone that has time to stop for a visit. Thank you all for the lovely comments I really enjoy reading them, and visiting my Pinterest page.

I first made a template from the Puffy Cloud Border and then sponged a light blue ink for the background.  Basically when it comes to using inks that's the only skill I have.  For the Santa I die cut once in flesh card stock, then for the coat once in red card stock and then in glitter card stock for the coat trim.  I created the chimney using the square and then embossed it with a brick pattern, I added a glitter card stock icicle. I used a piece from the Santa hat for the collar on the deer, and deckle scissors for the snowdrift. The Santa sack was just a picture I found and cut out.

Materials:
Memory Box -Woodland Deer, Holiday Hats & Gentleman Leaping
Poppy Stamps - Puffy Cloud Border
Impression Obsession - Icicle
Cheery Lynn Designs - Santa's Laundry
Spellbinders Matting Basics B  5 X 7
Spellbinders Classic Square Large ( 2" x 2″)
Spellbinders - Wood grain embossing folder
Fiskars - Deckle scissors
