Poinsettia Branch

As we approach the holidays I hope everyone is doing fine and if not I am sending good wishes and hugs.  Our weather here has certainly turned wintery, today it is snowing, and then an ice storm by the end of the week.  I always look forward to reading other people's blogs, seeing their travels and being amazed at how creative they are.  It is wonderful to have vistors from all over the world, thank you internet.

Last night I looked out the window and here came four raccoons out of the forest making their way down to my bird feeder, no wonder I am filling it everyday now.  I just thought the birds were really hungry because it is so cold now.

I edged the poinsettia's with glossy accent and then dusted them with the Art Glitter.  I also coated all the berries with the glossy accents.

Materials:
Elizabeth Craft - Garden Notes Small Poinsettia
Spellbinders - 5 X 7 Matting Basics B
Poppy Stamps - Berry Sprig & Vintage Merry Christmas
Ranger - Glossy Accents
Art Glitter - Crystal (85) ultrafine transparent glitter

  1. Beautiful Christmas card Diane! A really lovely card design. The glitter on the poinsettias looks wonderful.
I would have loved to have seen the raccoons as we don't have them in the UK we just get cheeky squirrels eating the bird food and playing on the green in front of our house. It must feel more like Christmas with the snow. We're just got miserable cold days here which doesn't get you in the Christmas mood at all.
Have a wonderful Christmas Diane and a fantastic New Year! Debra x

  4. Such a gorgeous card Diane! The poinsettias look beautiful, it is such an elegant Christmas card! I love snow and wished we had it in the U.K, but at the moment it is quite mild for the time of year and drizzly.
    Have a wonderful Christmas!

  7. Diane this card is stunning and the colours are beautiful. We live on the East Coast of the UK and 5 minutes from a beautiful sandy beach. We do get a lot of cold winds but we are the driest county in the Uk. Gorgeous sunny day today but rather cold. Have a lovely Christmas and a great 2017. Hugs, Carol S.xx

  8. Beautiful, love the way you arranged the poinsettia's with the berry branch, so lovely! It is funny you mention the raccoons getting into your bird feed. My hubby caught one trying to pull the suet we have out there out of the bird feeder, which is on the opposite part of the yard then our normal bird feeder, which has been going empty quite quickly and we also thought the birds were really going through it, so now that you say that I have a feeling they may be getting into our bird feeder also :(
